What's different about the XCEL-grade segments?
The XCEL-grade segments are laser welded and castellated (a serrated 'rooftop' edge), which gives faster, more accurate cutting than a standard flat segment, while still holding up to repeated dry cuts.

Does this kit include the adaptors I need to fit my drill?
Yes - four adaptors are supplied (80mm and 250mm in both SDS and Hex), so the cores fit most rotary drill chucks without buying extra parts.

What connection do the cores use?
Each core has a 1/2 inch BSP female connection, matching standard core drill adaptors and extension rods.

Can I buy a replacement core if one wears out or I need a different size?
Yes - every core, adaptor and accessory in this kit is sold individually, so you can restock or add sizes without buying the full kit again.

What size drill motor do I need to run these cores?
A minimum 850W rotary drill fitted with a slipping clutch. Anything smaller risks stalling on the larger 117mm and 127mm cores.

Will this kit cut through sandstone and slate as well as brick?
Yes - it's rated for soft and medium facing brick, concrete blocks, hard and coarse sandstone, soft slate, and breeze block or Lignacite block.

How does the kit stay organised on site?
All 11 pieces - five cores, four adaptors, the pilot drill and the drift key - sit in a fitted plastic and aluminium case.
