WonderWall Barrier System - self-weighted Chapter 8 barrier
The WonderWall Barrier System is a heavy-duty, self-weighted crowd control and road barrier that stays stable in high winds without extra ballast. Each unit is two parts - a UV-stabilised HDPE top panel on a 100% recycled PVC base - and links barrier-to-barrier with a simple hook-and-eye connection to create continuous runs, with angles up to 90°. It is fully Chapter 8 compliant, so it can be used in the appropriate locations on public roads. One person can move a barrier, and the forklift slots in the base with stackable parts make transport and storage straightforward.

Where it is used
The WonderWall barrier suits a wide range of settings. It is well suited to construction, civil engineering and housebuilding sites, where its self-weighted base keeps it stable near excavations and site traffic. It is also used for roadside traffic management, airports, festivals and music events, schools, colleges and universities, football and sporting events, go-karting and motorsport circuits, and retail and leisure. Barriers link together for a continuous run to guide people and vehicles safely.
Setting up and connecting
Barriers join with a simple hook-and-eye linkage, so you can build linear runs with angles up to 90°. The male connection has been extended for maximum stability on uneven ground, which helps when barriers run up and down a kerbside on roads and event sites. The system connects to Melba Swintex pedestrian barriers and to the Oxford Plastics Strong-Wall barrier system.
Stacking and transporting
The PVC base has forklift entry points for easy handling, saving time on set-up. Because each barrier breaks down into two parts - the PVC base and the HDPE top panel - both parts stack securely on top of one another, so more units fit on a vehicle between uses.
Adding height
If you need more than the standard 1000mm, plastic barrier top extensions connect with the same hook-and-eye fixings for added stability. The DoubleTop extension takes the total height to 2000mm, and the Mini-DoubleTop extension takes it to 1535mm.
