Frequently asked questions

What speed does the 50mm kit slow vehicles to?

The 50mm depth is designed for a 10mph limit and suits cars, vans and bikes. If you need to slow heavier traffic such as trucks and HGVs to 5mph, choose the 75mm kit instead.

Are the fixing bolts included?

Yes. Every kit comes with the fixing bolts needed to anchor each section to concrete or tarmac - eight bolts per metre of ramp. You just need a drill and the right masonry bit.

How do I work out how many sections I need?

Pick the total width of ramp you want, from 1 metre up to 10 metres. Each length is supplied as a complete kit of mid and end sections, so you order by the finished width rather than counting pieces.

What is it made from and will it last outdoors?

The sections are moulded from recycled PVC, which resists cracking, chipping and fading far better than concrete or rubber, so the kit stands up to weather and repeated traffic year round.

Can it be used to protect cables or hoses?

Yes. The mid sections have a channel underneath that lets you run a cable or hose across the ramp and protect it from being driven over. The end sections do not have this channel.

What surfaces can I fix it to?

It bolts down to concrete or tarmac. Position the sections on clean, level ground, drill through the fixing holes, seat the bolt housings flush and tighten until there is no movement.

Is it suitable for a public road?

This kit is intended for private roads, car parks and site access rather than adopted public highways. For public highway schemes, speak to our team about the correct traffic-calming products.
