Overview
Signal grey for plant and machinery
There are two greys in this range and they are not interchangeable. RAL 7004 signal grey is a mid grey, the colour of a lot of machinery housings, control cabinets and enclosures. RAL 7016 anthracite is a much darker grey used on exterior metalwork. Ordering the wrong one is the most common mistake on this page, so check the RAL on the item you are matching before you order rather than going by the word grey.

Yes, it is rated for interior and exterior use. Spray in dry conditions and give it time to dry before it takes any weather.

That depends on the colour, the surface and how heavily you spray. Porous surfaces such as bare MDF drink far more than primed steel. For a job of any size, buy a can more than you think you need rather than running out part way.
