DEFENDER50 - 50mph Crash-Tested Barrier System

The DEFENDER50 is a heavy-duty barrier system designed for maximum vehicle containment and site safety. It is the only system in its class to be crash tested at 50 mph (81.3 km/h) even with top-mounted fence panels, proving its reliability in real-world impact conditions.

The DEFENDER50 barrier system with integrated fencing was subjected to controlled crash criteria set out in BS EN 1317 Containment level N1.

Tough Polymer Build with Site-Ready Features

Engineered from UV-stabilised polymer, the DEFENDER50 combines strength and weather resistance with easy deployment and handling. Each unit holds up to 400 litres of ballast and includes forklift entry points for effortless movement on-site.

A top-fill cap and sump plug allow fast filling and emptying, while its 138° angular flexibility enables adaptable layouts across uneven or complex zones.

Secure Connections & Rapid Deployment

The DEFENDER50 barrier features a secure connection system using two heavy-duty metal plates and a steel joining tube, creating a strong, interlocked safety line ideal for managing high-traffic areas.

Just 48 barriers are needed to cover 100 metres, making it efficient for large-scale projects. Its modular design allows for quick alignment, locking, and removal.

Included with each barrier:

1 x steel joining tube
2 x heavy-duty metal plates
12 x bolts

Add Height with Fence Tops

For added protection and site control, the DEFENDER50 is fully compatible and crash tested with the DoubleTop and Mini-DoubleTop fence systems.

The Mini-DoubleTop offers a compact, Chapter 8 compliant solution with reflective strips and a secure Hook & Eye connection
The DoubleTop delivers full-height coverage with hi-vis reflective spindles
Mesh metal fencing tops can also be used, creating a durable, tamper-resistant perimeter
