Why are the sides only half-clad?

The half-height side panels let air move through the shelter while the roof and upper panels keep off rain and wind, so it doesn't feel like a sealed box.

How heavy is each size, and does that affect handling?

Weight runs from 268kg for the 1m unit up to 705kg for the 5m unit, so the larger sizes need mechanical handling on site rather than a manual lift.

Is the frame galvanised to a recognised standard?

Yes, the mild steel frame is hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 for long-term outdoor corrosion resistance.

What's the difference between the 'including bolts' and 'excluding bolts' variants?

Both are the same shelter; the only difference is whether the four bolts per flange plate are supplied with the kit or you source your own to match your base.

Can I use it for something other than smoking?

Yes, the open-fronted, half-clad design also works well as a bike shelter, bin store or general waiting area.

Can I make it longer later?

Yes, extension bays are sold separately and use the same frame and PETG cladding, so they line up with the standard bays.
