Why it works

Made for flood duty

Built for wet weather

No metal parts to corrode - the polypropylene frame stands in rain and spray without deteriorating.

Warns before the water

Puts the High Water message in front of drivers ahead of the hazard so they can slow down or divert.

Meets the road-sign rules

Conforms to BS 8442:2015, Chapter 8 and the Red Book 2013 when set out to the code of practice.

Up in seconds, no tools

The built-in retractable stand flips out and the 5.3kg frame stands free on the carriageway.

Fully recycled build

Made entirely from recycled polypropylene, with no scrap value to tempt thieves during a long deployment.

Frequently asked questions

When should High Water go out rather than a closure sign?

High Water warns that standing water lies ahead while the route may still be passable with care. If the road is impassable, use a closure sign instead - your flood response plan decides which applies.

Can it stay out for days at a time during a wet spell?

Yes. The frame is 100% polypropylene with no metal parts, so it does not rust and has no scrap value, meaning it can be left in place overnight and through extended flood warnings.

Does it need tools to set up?

No. The stand is built into the A-frame and retracts for storage - one person unfolds it and the sign stands free in seconds.

What standards does it meet?

The Q-Sign conforms to BS 8442:2015, Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual and the Red Book 2013, and is suitable for UK roads when set out to the code of practice.

What keeps it standing in rough weather?

The frame has been wind-tested with the appropriate ballast weightings. We supply ready-filled sand bags and the Temporary Sign & Barrier Ballast Weight to hold it in exposed spots.

What if my site needs a different legend?

The same 600 x 450mm frame takes bespoke vinyl sign faces, and we also sell a custom version of this Q-Sign - tell us the wording your scheme calls for.

How quickly can it be delivered?

It is held in UK stock - delivery estimates show at checkout, and the team can arrange pallet quantities and trade-account pricing for larger flood stores.
