Why it works

Built to Outlast Steel Angle

Corrosion and chemical resistant

GRP construction shrugs off rust, chemicals and oily or greasy conditions that degrade steel angle.

Cut to length in-house

Every length is cut to order with a ±3mm tolerance, so runs fit first time.

Rated for wet and outdoor use

Suitable for dry, wet and oily areas, indoors or outdoors, from -50°C to +110°C.

UV stable

Grey RAL 7000 finish holds its colour and strength under prolonged outdoor UV exposure.

Tested to recognised standards

Tensile, flexural and compressive strength verified to ASTM D1037-93, flame retardance to BS 476 Part 7.

Angle Profile for GRP Grating - Overview

A glass-reinforced polyester (GRP) angle profile for fixing, framing and edging our GRP grating range. It resists rust, chemicals and UV exposure that would degrade steel angle over time, while staying light enough for one person to handle and cut on site.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does the GRP angle profile come in?

Two sizes are available: 50.8mm x 50.8mm x 6.35mm in 3m lengths (3.5kg), and 76.2mm x 76.2mm x 9.5mm in 3m lengths (7.9kg).

Can I order it pre-cut to size?

Yes - we offer an in-house cutting service to any length, held to a ±3mm tolerance. Contact us with your required dimensions.

What is the angle profile made from?

It's glass-reinforced polyester (GRP) with a resin-coated gritted surface, finished in Grey (RAL 7000).

How does it perform in wet or oily conditions?

It's rated for dry, wet and oily/greasy areas, indoors or outdoors, and operates from -50°C to +110°C.

Does the GRP angle conduct electricity?

No. GRP is a non-conductor, including in high-voltage electrical environments, which is one reason it's specified in place of steel angle.

Are fixing clips and clamps included?

No, fixing clips and clamps are sold separately - see our related GRP grating accessories.

Can I get it in a different colour?

Custom colours may be available on request, subject to a minimum order quantity - contact us for details.
