Most shelving fixings are chosen to disappear. Chrome is the exception - it is picked because a bright upright reads as shopfitting rather than storage racking, which matters on a shop floor or behind a trade counter. Underneath the finish it is the same product as the rest of the range: 1.5mm steel, 27mm x 15mm channel, twin slots the full length, seven lengths from 430mm to 2400mm, and it takes every bracket from 120mm to 610mm.

The Dupont Alesta AM powder coat inhibits microbial growth on the coated surface. It is part of the coating rather than a wipe-on treatment, so it stays put through normal cleaning.
