Sharks Teeth Ramp - Mid Section
The Sharks Teeth Ramp is a modular, directional flow-control plate for restricting vehicle movement to one direction. Five spring-loaded tooth cartridges lie flat as a vehicle passes over in the permitted direction and spring back upright to obstruct travel the other way. Built from heavy gauge steel, it is rated for cars and HGVs. This listing is for the mid section only - end caps are sold separately, and sections link together to build a ramp the full width of a road or access lane.

How many plates do you need
Plates are added side by side to cover the full width of the road or lane. As a guide: a 3m-wide road needs 5 plates, a 5m-wide road needs 8 plates, and a 7m-wide road needs 12 plates. Check with our team for the exact count for your site.

Installation
Plates bolt down onto tarmac surfaces older than 6 months with at least 50mm of asphalt depth, using rubber expanding fixings into 24mm drilled holes. On newer tarmac, or where the surface isn't suitable, a concrete raft should be laid first. Fit plates on a level, straight run, away from junctions and turning areas - avoid gravel surfaces and inclines, which put extra strain on the springs and fixings over time.
