No Through Road 1050x750mm Q-Sign
This large-format Q-Sign tells drivers the road ahead is closed to through traffic before they commit to it, so they divert at the junction instead of driving to the closure and turning round. The 1050mm x 750mm face carries the No Through Road legend on a Melba Swintex A-frame in fully recycled black polypropylene, with a built-in retractable stand that has it working in seconds.
Key features
-
Road-legal - conforms to Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual, BS 8442:2015, the Red Book 2013 and the TSRGD.
-
Stops wasted trips - drivers turn off at the junction rather than at the closure itself.
-
No metal anywhere - fully recycled polypropylene that cannot rust, does not conduct lightning and has no scrap value.
-
Single-person lift - 9.8kg, carried and stood by one operative without tools.
-
Free-standing A-frame - built-in retractable stand, folding flat to 60mm for the van.
-
Made in the UK by Melba Swintex, with bespoke vinyl sign faces to order.
Where it is used
- Roads closed to through traffic during works
- Dead ends created by temporary closures
- Estate and access roads during construction phases
- Utility and emergency closures
Stability and ballast
A closure sign is often the only warning drivers get, so it cannot be flat on the verge when the wind picks up. The Q-Sign range is wind-tested and passes with the appropriate ballast: fit ready-filled sand bags or the clip-on Melba Swintex ballast weight where the road is open and exposed.

Customisation
The vinyl faces are made to order, so the same 1050mm x 750mm A-frame can carry a different legend, diagram or your own artwork once the closure is lifted. Ask about trade-account pricing for framework and bulk orders.
